Gentle Chiropractic Care

Back and neck pain are very serious problems that should not be left untreated. Your nervous system coordinates all functions of your body and when it is in pain, it affects all other areas of your body. Chiropractic treatments will help restore proper motion to the bones of the spine. At Woodland Wellness, we use a variety of chiropractic techniques to help repair your spinal health.

The Activator Method is the world’s most widely and popular used instrument adjusting chiropractic technique and is currently in use by more than 70 percent of all chiropractors. An instrument called the Activator® delivers a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. The Activator Instrument represents the only instrument adjusting technique with clinical trials to support their efficacy.

Thompson drop

Thompson Drop Table facilitates a full spine technique by the use of an adjusting table with a pneumatically driven, segmented drop system, which quickly lowers the section of the patient’s body corresponding with the spinal region being adjusted, whether in the dorsal, lumber or pelvic area. By means of this widely used device the practitioner thrusts at high speed, using minimal force, because while the thrust initiates movement, the fast drop carries the joint through the remainder of its range of motion.
Chiroporatic care provided by therapist to patient's back.

Diversified Technique is a classic chiropractic technique, developed by D.D. Palmer, DC. and taught to all Chiropractors. It is a full spine manual (joint cavitation) approach with focus on restoration of normal biomechanical functions, and correction of subluxation. In addition, Diversified methods have been developed to adjust extremity joints, allowing for beneficial application in treating joint dysfunction and sports injuries. Diversified adjusting of the spine uses specific lines of drive for all manual thrusts, allowing for specificity in correcting mechanical distortion of the spine.

Torque Release Technique

Torque Release Technique® (TRT) is a low force instrument adjusting technique that embraces The Brain Reward Cascade Model. This is a scientific model that provides an understanding of neurophysiological mechanisms of how the meso-limbic system expresses a state of well-being. TRT focuses on the strategic and vital connection points between the spinal cord and spinal column. As we gently and methodically adjust theses areas of your spinal cord, we change the degree of tension in the central nervous system in an effort to establish balance of the system.

Impulse IQ

Impulse IQ is a adjustment instrument that can be used in conjunction with Diversified and or Drop table. The instrument is applied to the dysfunctional area and thrusts at the ideal frequency to maximize motion while changing frequencies as motion improves. The patented Auto-Sense® technology senses when mobility is maximized, and provides feed back to the Doctor to ensure that motion as been restored to the segment.

Webster Technique

The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment during pregnancy. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction to establish balance. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved. It is used on all weight bearing individuals presenting with this biomechanical restriction. Common symptoms include (but are not limited to) low back pain, sciatic neuralgia, and symptoms associated with sacral subluxation and/ or SI joint dysfunction. The obstetric literature has determined that correct positioning of the baby in-utero affect birth outcome and decrease the potential for undue stress to the baby's developing spine and nerve system. Thus normal pelvic neuro-biomechanics including uterine function and pelvic alignment are of utmost importance for the prevention of dystocia (difficult birth).
